Welcome to aboutMorrisonHomes.com Since you are looking at this page I can only assume that you either:
- Just happened upon this site in some random surfing kismet thing in which case you should be very wary of doing business with this company. or,
- You are thinking of doing business with this company in which case you might want to stick around and explore this site. You are the reason we are doing all this stuff. Hopefully, you will learn from our experience with these people so you won’t make the same mistakes we did. or,
- You are a Morrison Homes employee or muckity-muck and you are wondering what one of your victims...er I mean customers is writing about your company. Hopefully, you can also learn something from our experience of dealing with your company.
We signed a purchase agreement for our home in April of 2001. Our decision to purchase was based largely on the size of the company and their rating as the country’s “Best Builder for the year 2000”. In retrospect that was a mistake. Our home was built on “muck” and in rapid order we began to see cracks in the slab, walls, tile, trim, cracks, cracks, everywhere. We have been diligent to document the problems with our house and we hope our experience, trials, and errors will be of benefit to you. My lovely bride and I will do our best to give you ideas and information to help you decide how to proceed. I think it is possible to have a satisfactory buying experience but be prepared to work for it. The strategies listed here will help you protect yourself no matter what company you buy from.
If you are thinking of buying a home from Morrison then I would suggest you ask your sales agent to pull up this site and explain how you can be assured this won’t happen to you. Then make them put it in writing. We’ll discuss strategies on the, you guessed it, strategies page. Oh, and this picture on your right is a picture of a fractured double truss. The truss was sagging and this is how Morrison Homes fixed it, but don’t worry it’s only cosmetic. Yeah right, and I’ve got a bridge I’ll sell ya. You can see all their mistakes in the photo gallery and we will fill in some of the details of our story, so you will get a full understanding of what it’s like to do business with Morrison Homes. There have been so many problems and none of them are structural. Hmmm, go figure they would say that. We hope the website is useful for you whoever you are.
